SleepWalkers

Having a QT this foggy morning after being abruptly woken by a barking dog. Our dog doesn't bark all that much so I though I better investigate.... And low and behold what do I see---absolutely NOTHING!!!  I could so be sleeping in..ugh! Oh well might as well start my day

 As I was reading my daily Psalm  today happens to be
Psalm 115:4-8
English Standard Version (ESV)

 4(A) Their idols are silver and gold,
   (B) the work of human hands.
5They have mouths,(C) but do not speak;
   eyes, but do not see.
6They have ears, but do not hear;
   noses, but do not smell.
7They have hands, but do not feel;
   feet, but do not walk;
   and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8(D) Those who make them become like them;
   so do all who trust in them.

           As I was reading I got what I call a "thought picture" in my mind.... A lady walking around going through her daily life--justa about as lifeless as the idols in Ps. 115  She wasn't speaking, seeing, hearing, smelling  or any of the things that real live people do. Get the Pix?
           Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily responsibilities, the same ol' thing day after day, after day, after day, after day, after day, after day... tedious huh? Have we forgotten how to live our life. We probably see the same ol' people every day that we don't even notice them any more-sad:(. Do we actually speak to them more than a casual, superficial, daily pleasantry? Nice weather huh?...If they aren't so caught up in their responsibilities and they take the time to speak with us, Do we really listen? Or do we make an appropriate response and keep moving?    Hay! I'm just askin...
            It is so easy to go through our day in a daze- not really aware of what is goin on or who is around us. How often do we go home go to bed and don't even remember or day?  It's like we are sleepwalking! Sleepwalkers can actually function but they are not aware of what they are doing. They can walk, talk, see, hear, but they don't remember it when they wake up (scary huh?)
           I guess what I am trying to say is.....WAKE UP!!!  Live your life! Your real life. Be aware! Ya just never know when The Good Lord Himself will "use" you for His service.  We are the ones, the way, He chooses to use!! WooHoo!!!
          We can be a great use to God when we are AWAKE, AWARE,  and WILLING!!

Father God I pray for my friends : help us all to have eyes that see
                                                                               ears that hear
                                                                               a mouth that blesses and encourages
                                                                               hands that heal and help
                                                                               feet to go where you call us
                                            and the courage, grace, mercy and love to keep on living!!

Are You A Useless Christian?

What good is a Christian? Are you faith filled? What good is that? One can be filled to the brink with faith and be absolutely useless as a christian!-----OUCH!

Do others know you are a christian--A Christ follower? One who believes that Jesus is the only Son of God and belief in Him is the only way to eternal life with Him, and without Him eternal life burning in hell??  Do those around you know your beliefs?  Or do you have to tell them? OK, so maybe they do know.  But do your actions show this?

If we are truly faith filled we should be faith talking! If we are faith talking we should be faith walking!!  Faith without works is USELESS and DEAD!

Are we known by our actions? Do we hear the word and act upon it or do we go to church and occupy space and think we "did our part" "our good deed" for the week?  If we are not living the word of God by our actions ---We are USELESS and DEAD!  If we as Christians are not changing the lives of those around us- our sphere of influence-  we have dead faith! We are not walking according to the truth-the Word of God!

We must act on our faith--pray--encourage--give--forgive--be merciful--control our tongue. We must walk in our giftings! Our gifts come from the very hand of God--Therefore we are equipped to do works!!

If we are doers of the word we have actions to "back up our beliefs"  We are Blessed--WE are blessed!!  Don't know about you but I want all the blessings of God I can get!

How many times have we been prompted by the Holy Spirit to move and we decided to stay put? Why? Because we are uncomfortable, we might get embarrassed if we actually have to "do something" in public.  Dear friend you lost a blessing! God's WILL will be done. If He wants to use you then be used!  If you decided not to move when He says so then someone else will get YOUR blessing because you decided not to move to action when called!---Painful huh? Believe me I am speaking to myself just as much as I'm speaking to you!

What if we actually prayed for someone right then and there--yes -in Walmart-at the grocery store--at work. What would our world look like?  I can promise you this it would look a lot different. OK, can't think globally right now. How about the person you are praying for-don't you think their tiny little world became a better place because someone--A Christian- took some time and helped them?  Faith without works is DEAD!  I know it's a strong statement its meant to be --its the TRUTH!

Here's another truth- Faith as small as a mustard seed(that's not alot of faith) can move mountains. How many mountains have you moved lately?

 Believe it or not your actions will reflect what you believe... Some times inaction speaks louder than words!!

Jesus changed the world! He taught his disciples how to do the same.. We are His disciples!

Father God we all need you! I ask boldly for you to direct each one of us to be world changers  This world needs you more than ever. I know you are the answer to all the questions we could ever ask! You are all we could ever hope for! You are needed in a mighty way--Come Lord Jesus and help us be the people you created and do the works you have planned for us!  Help us KNOW the truth and LIVE the truth!!  You are the same yesterday today and forever! In the name of Jesus I ask! Amen!!

The Locust Shell

Ok so I'm running on the treadmill because I live in Texas. If I don't get my run in by 10am, at the latestest, then it's way too hot to hit the pavement and besides my knees really appreciate the treadmill!
So I'm running in our ity bity home gym which is all windows and I notice a locust shell, long been deserted. I believe the good Lord said to me, in my spirit, people are a lot like locust shells! Ummm... Ok... God what does that mean? He preceeds to tell me that we, people, out grow our life. We have trials and tribulations, difficult times of all varieties and when we "go through" these times we "grow" and therefore we out grow the life that we are living in that particular season. Tough times come and go but it is our responsibility to learn what we can. We should ask God to show us what we need to do or change in these times and keep moving forward. We can not get stuck in our shell and never grow into the person we are meant to be, that we are created to be by God!! Only He truly knows and sees the whole picture. We get a little part of it and usually we see through the dark colored lense of adversity! Its ok, better than ok, to be out growing your shell it means you are growing into the next stage of your life! You will be better equipped to handle not only this season but the next.  God is good, trust in him He knows what our next step is. Let him grow you so you can be free from this shell, season, of life and be free to live the next stage of life He has planned for you!  Be Blessed ! RR

Rebuking the Storm

True Story: 3 members of my family finished up a work out at the dojo, tornado sirens went off so I go outside and see swirling clouds-the beginning of a tornado- so my first instinct is to rebuke the storm and start praying against it! My 11yr old son runs out there to me and tells me "mom we have to pray against it" so we do, together! He goes back inside and notices a young teenage girl also praying against the storm!! The storm passed without incident!! Does God answer prayer? Absolutely! Did He divert the tornado and the storm-quite possible! Would He do that just for us--Yes! Did He? His word says to have the faith of a child--CHILDREN WERE PRAYING !!! What stronger faith is there than that of a child?? God is good and faithful. He hears our prayers and He answers !! Thank you Lord!!
From my new page Prayer Exchange on Face book. Please check it out and give it a "like" thanks y'all. Be blessed and Pray!!

A Page From My Personl Journal- Him and Me

I've gone through many trials and tribulations. I've endured sufferings and much pain. I've forgiven acts of cruelty and evil. I've lived through unspeakables and I have not mastered any of it, but I do know my Master, and He is the reason that I am who I am today! I praise Him and I thank Him!.

He prayed when I couldn't speak.
He cried when I had no tears left.
He held me when I felt paralyzed.
As I slept He watched over me.
When I was awake He walked with me.

Even though I don't always see Him and even though I don't always 'feel' Him---He is here.
I made a choice! I choose to believe! I believe Him!

His love never fails.
He is sovereign.
His word endures forever.

He has a purpose and plans just for me. I choose to believe!
He will never leave me nor forsake me. I choose to believe!

He loves me unconditionally. I choose to believe!
He died for me. I choose to believe!

I choose to believe He did the same for you.

I pray you choose to believe Him too!

A New Thing!!

As I said in my last blog I believe there is another part of what God is doing.

I truly believe God is longing to be known again on this earth--in a new way doing a new thing!! I'm not entirely sure what this means. In my personal quiet time I believe the Lord telling me that  He is preparing people for signs, wonders , and miracles. I've already seen this happening!! It's truly amazing how God loves us and He is ready to show us!!

    As I 've said many, many times in the past couple of years God has been working the junk out of his people. Anything that is not of God--- is junk!! Take a look back over the years and see if this true for you. It definitely has been for me. I'm not so special as to think that I am the only person God is preparing to use!!

2nd Timothy 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the maker of the house, ready for every good work.

We are the vessel Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel....

Isiah 42:5-9
 5Thus says God, the LORD,
   who created the heavens(A) and stretched them out,
   who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
(B) who gives breath to the people on it
   and spirit to those who walk in it:
6"I am the LORD;(C) I have called you in righteousness;
   I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you(D) as a covenant for the people,
   (E) a light for the nations,

 7(F) to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
   (G) from the prison those who sit in darkness.
8I am the LORD; that is my name;
   (H) my glory I give to no other,
   nor my praise to carved idols.
9Behold, the former things have come to pass,
   (I) and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth
   I tell you of them."

I believe He is ready to pour new wine into new wineskins!

Matthew 9:16-17

16No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. 17Neither is new wine put into old(A) wineskins. If it is, the skins burst and the wine is spilled and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved."

Amen!! Don"t know about you but I absolutely want to be a vessel that God will use.  Come Lord Jesus make me into a new wine skin and pour yourself in me!!! Use me to grow your kingdom! Make me more like you!! Use me to proclaim, heal, and deliver!!  God is good--always! He is faithful--always!

Are you ready for A New Thing?   Much love to ya RR

2011

I know its been longer than a week since I said I would post my thoughts on 2011, sorry. Time flies when you are busy!

After spending time in prayer and hearing other "words" for the year. This is what I believe. These are just my thoughts and my inspirations for 2011.

  I believe the fist several months of this year will continue to be "difficult".

  1. I believe we are to cry out for justice! I don't know about you but I believe these past several years satan has taken from me and my family what is NOT his I want everything he has taken. Therefore cry out for justice. Who knows true justice? Only the Lord does, so turn to Him and cry out for this to occur.
Ps 33:3-4 For the word of Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.  Please pray for the life of our country as you are cryin out for justice for your own family!

  2. We combat this time with the word of God. Read it and find His promises for each and every situation in your life. Shout out the Lord's promises!! I'm talkin verbally-out loud!!---And mean it. Believe the Lord wants to bring His promises to fruition in your life. We must live according to the Lord--righteousness.(Get right with God). Live a life of thankfulness no matter the situation. Ps 118:19-21 has spoken to me a lot this past year and into the new year.  Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it. I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. Also verse 25-26 Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

3. During and after this time occurs I believe the Lord's Favor will rest upon you and your family. Is40:19 Behold, the Lord comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.   Please take the time to read Is 61. It is a beautiful part of God's truth. It has blessed me many, many times.

4. I also believe the Lord is going to be doin "a new thing". I will blog this in a couple of weeks after more study and praying!

These are just very few of the verses the Good Lord has given me. As always my hope is that you would personaly seek God and listen to him. He is speaking! Open your ears and listen!

 Father God may all the people seek you and not be deceived by all the others who are out to lead them away from you. In the name of Jesus I ask .

"Where is Your Faith?"

Its time to do a faith check! Apparently we all need one every once and awhile--even the disciples.

  Jesus told his disciples  "Let's go over to the other side of the lake."  OK, so they sailed on. Jesus fell asleep. A storm came!-Surprise to them NOT to Jesus he's still sleeping. They are concerned and believe they are going to die!! So they woke Him up... Jesus rebuked the wind and water--the storm calmed..... Then He asked a very powerful question..."where is you faith?'    Ya see Jesus already told them what they were going to do---Go to the other side of the lake. They knew their direction and destination yet they became so unnerved about their situation they lost focus on His word to them. Easy to do but one must remember the direction He has put you on.

  What did He last speak to you?  Don't get so caught up in your situation when He has told you what to do. Receive His words--His direction from the bible and prayer. The disciples somewhere along the way lost faith because of their situation. Don't lose your faith!
                                                                                                                             ( Ref Luke 8:22-25)

 I asked the Lord to give me a quick word for the beginning of the new year---this is what He said 'if they seek me they will find me!"    How awesome is that? God is so ready for you to call on him!!!

    So my question to you is Where is your faith?
                                                               Much love RR

PS..  next week I will be writing what the Lord has put on my heart for the year.
